What is an organized ride? Organized rides are week long rides identified on the Event Schedule. These rides are packaged priced and include meals and planned activities.
Are weekend rides considered to be organized rides? No. Weekend rides are not organized and do not include meals and planned activities.
Can we come during an organized ride and not stay an entire week? Yes. Daily rates are $49/Day during organized ride weeks. If staying 3 days or less it is more economical to pay the daily rate. Staying for 4 days or more it is more economical to pay the weekly rate.
Is there a restaurant at Golden Hills? Yes beginning March 1, 2006 will be open Thursday through Sunday.
Are there other activities that are available on weeks that are not organized rides? Absolutely. There are opportunities to fish, hike, and explore.
Do you require a fishing license to fish at Golden Hills Resort? No. As long as you fish on the property while you are staying with us, we do not require a fishing license.
How is the fishing at Golden Hills Resort? We have stocked our 7 acre lake with catfish and bass.
Is picketing allowed? No. We just do not have the room for picketing or temporary fencing.
Can we go out on the trails by ourselves? Absolutely. Don’t forget to request a map of the trails when you check in. There are over 200 miles of trails on the property.
Are there clearings on the campgrounds where setting up a satellite would work? Absolutely. When you make your reservations, make sure you request a campsite in the clearing so that we can better accommodate your needs.
Are outdoor grills available at the campsites? We do not have grills at the campsites, although, you are welcome to bring your own.
Is there a hot tub at the ranch? No. Although, we do have a complete recreation and fitness center as well as a swimming pool that is open during the summer months (May through mid-September).
When are massages available? Our massage therapist is available for appointments Thursday’s 5pm-9pm (every hour) and Friday’s 2pm-9pm (every hour).
Do you have laundry facilities? No. There is a Laundromat in town.
How far to the closest town? Approximately 6 miles.
Do you have certified hay? State of Missouri doesn’t require hay to be certified.
How many people do your bunkhouses sleep? We have one that sleeps 6 people, one that sleeps 8 people, and one that sleeps 10 people.
Do your bunkhouses have private bath and shower facilities? No. Bathroom and shower facilities for the bunkhouses are shared with our campgrounds.
How many horses do your stalls hold? Our stalls only hold one horse.
How many horses do your paddocks hold? We only have a couple that hold two horses, but most only hold one.
How many people do your motel rooms sleep? 5 max. Our motel rooms have 2 queen size beds and we can fit one rollaway.
